"Jannah is the calling of every Muslim: eternal bliss in the company of the prophets, truthful, martyrs, and righteous. As part of Allah's immense mercy, He has made the paths to Jannah easy and plentiful. It has eight gates, as the Prophet ﷺ informed us. Each gate has a unique virtue that, if we adhere to and live by, we will be allowed to enter from it. The 8 Gates of Jannah is a scholarly collation of qur'anic passages and prophetic traditions speaking about these paradisal gateways and how we can be among those admitted through them. May we be among those people about whom Allah said: "Gardens of lasting bliss with gates wide open for them." Q 38:50"
The Eight Core Gateways (Chapter Breakdown)
Each of these central chapters focuses on a specific gate, the specific actions required to unlock it, relevant ahadith, and finishes with a dedicated Poetic Reflection section:
I love knowing how immense and generous Allah is, that He allows us to enter Jannah through 8 general gates, with lots and lots of simple, practical deeds we want to pour our hearts into.
For me, the saying that Allah loves small good deeds done consistently means declaring which path you want to choose and acting on it accordingly, step by step, every day, for the rest of your life.
You can enter Jannah by being a parent. Or through the gate for the repentant. Regret is actually considered repentance. And as long as you ask for Allah's forgiveness, He WILL ABSOLUTELY forgive you no matter what.
I would not dare to ask more of the book.
Humankind haha
"O seekers of the gate, with knowledge in your hand. Let narrations light your path, like the green of golden sand. For each gate of Jannah a noble goal to chase with deeds and faith combined in Allah loving grace. Let not these words remain as mere tales of old, but urges to action; let your heart unfold. Work hard to gain entry through every gate you seek; in Allah's mercy, your soul is forever free. So here are these narrations; let them light your way. With striving and devotion, let your heart obey. For in the garden of Jannah, your soul shall thrive; through every gate of paradise, your faith alive. Let knowledge be your compass, your action be your key to unlock all the gates in Jannah, beauty to be. With faith as you guide and actions put on to, may all the gates of Jannah open wide for you. "
