by Astrid Jorgensen
It is a memoir by an Australian musician. She was from New Zealand but moved to Australia in her preteen years.
It is Astrid's journey as she pursues the musical part of herself. From being rejected (not just resented by her music teacher) to having a choir group and a business around it that successfully survived the pandemic and spread joy and hope to so many people.
Even the great Astrid, overcame so many obstacles in life from the struggle in her violint lesson, listening to the radio until committed a "crime" haha to be the speaker and get the souvenir as a thank you from the radio, to be the music teacher in a primary school, embracing so many upas and down building her business in her show, until she and her team was ivited many times to the US to perform.
She started with the impulsive dream of becoming a nun and visiting her aunt in Africa. I think this part is hilarious: opening a book.
I listened to her audiobook, read by Astrid herself; her touch in every new section of the book is very. musical. She IS HILARIOUS.
I admired her humility, the guts to laugh at the silliness of self, learn, learn, and learn.
